Prices and booking

How much does a kids circus party cost in Bristol?

Children’s circus parties start from £350 for a two-hour session, which is a circus show followed by a full skills workshop. The final figure depends on group size, location and any extras you would like to add. See our pricing page for the full breakdown.

How much is a circus skills workshop?

Workshops start from £250. School days, larger groups and multi-day bookings are quoted individually, and longer bookings work out cheaper per hour. A half day is £400 and a full school day is £500, including an all-school assembly plus class-by-class sessions throughout the day.

Do you charge travel?

No. Travel is free anywhere within 20 miles of Keynsham, which covers Bath, Keynsham, Yate, Thornbury, Weston-super-Mare and Clevedon. Beyond that, travel is 50p per mile, confirmed in your quote.

Do you charge a booking fee or commission?

No. You book direct with the performer, so there is no agency commission and no booking fee. The quote you get is the price you pay.

Is there a deposit?

For most bookings we simply confirm the date and price with you. For larger events we may ask for a deposit to hold the date, and we will always be clear about it upfront.

How do I get a quote or book?

Message us on WhatsApp on 07770 568311 or use the enquiry form with your date, group size and location. We will confirm availability and send a tailored quote, usually within 24 hours.

Kids parties

What age is a kids party entertainer suitable for?

Our circus parties work best from around age 5 upwards, old enough to follow a demo and have a proper go. Younger siblings are always welcome and we give them simpler kit (scarves, hoops, small plates) so nobody is left standing at the side. For under-5s we usually recommend our kids face painting or a shorter session.

How long does a party entertainer session last?

Two hours is the standard and the sweet spot: long enough to get properly stuck into every station, short enough to end while they are still buzzing. Shorter and longer sessions are available on request, and we will tell you honestly which suits your group size and age range.

How many children can you entertain at once?

We bring enough circus equipment for 100+ children, so nobody queues and nobody shares. Groups of 10 to 40 work beautifully in a hall or garden, and we run larger school and community events regularly.

What is included in a circus party?

Full circus equipment for 100+ children, age-appropriate party music, expert teaching and demonstration throughout, balloon twisting for every child, and all the setup and pack-down. There are no hidden extras.

Do I need to provide any equipment or space?

No equipment needed. We bring the full circus kit and set it up ourselves. All you need is an indoor or outdoor space with a bit of room to move, such as a hall, garden or community space.

Schools and workshops

How do I book a circus workshop for my school?

Get in touch with your preferred date and number of pupils. We will confirm availability and send over insurance documentation ahead of your booking. See circus skills workshops for schools.

What space does the workshop need?

A standard school hall works perfectly. We set up and pack down all equipment ourselves so there is minimal disruption to your school day.

What age groups are your workshops suitable for?

Our workshops are suitable for Reception through to Year 6, and are adapted to suit the age and confidence of each class.

Do you provide all the equipment?

Yes, eclipseArts provides everything. Your school does not need to source or prepare any equipment.

How much does a school circus workshop day cost?

A half day costs £400 and a full school day costs £500. The full day includes an all-school assembly plus class-by-class workshop sessions throughout the day. All equipment is provided, and travel is free within 20 miles of Keynsham (50p per mile beyond that).

Insurance, safety and checks

Is the entertainer DBS-checked and insured?

Every eclipseArts booking is run by Tom Makin personally: fully DBS-checked, £10m public liability insured, with a full risk assessment supplied on request. You are booking the performer, not an agency sending whoever is free that Saturday.

Do you have public liability insurance for schools?

Yes, we hold Equity public liability insurance up to £10 million. Full documentation is available on request before your booking is confirmed.

Is face paint safe for children's skin?

Yes. We only ever use professional-grade, water-based face paints made specifically for skin, never craft or acrylic paints, and they wash off easily with warm water and mild soap. We use fresh sponges between children and will happily skip any child with broken skin, an eczema flare-up or a known sensitivity.

Coverage and logistics

What areas do you cover?

We are based in Keynsham, Bristol (BS31) and cover Bristol, Bath and the wider South West including Somerset, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire. Travel is free within 20 miles of Keynsham, and further afield by arrangement.

Can you run a party or workshop at my venue?

Almost anywhere with a bit of space: a hen house, garden, hired hall, function room, school hall or community space. We bring everything to you and set it up before your guests arrive.

Do you work with SEN and inclusive groups?

Yes. Our sessions flex to whoever is in the room, and we adapt equipment and pace for SEND groups, mixed abilities and mixed ages so everyone joins in at their own level. See SEND circus workshops.

Still Not Sure?

Tell us your date, your group size and where you are, and we will send a straight quote with nothing hidden. Weekends book up fast, and December fills early.
