Quick answer: A UV glow party is a 90-minute kids’ party with the main lights off and ultraviolet on: everything glows in the dark, the music is up, and a professional circus performer runs the whole thing. eclipseArts runs glow parties for up to 30 children across Bristol, Bath and the South West, and they cost less than our standard circus party. Call 07770 568311 or send us the details and we’ll come back with a straight quote.

What Is a UV Glow Party?
The main lights go off, the ultraviolet comes on, and the whole room changes. White T-shirts shine, neon socks light up, and the juggling balls in your child’s hands glow like something out of a film. Add great music and you can feel the excitement lift before the first game has even started.
It looks brilliant in photos and videos, which is half the reason parents book it. The other half is that you don’t have to do a thing. We don’t drop off a few lights and leave you to it: we bring everything, run the whole party, and make sure every child is part of it.
You might know it as a neon party or a glow in the dark party. Same idea, and we bring the lot.
Glow parties book fastest around Halloween, October and February half-term, and through the winter when it gets dark early. If you have a date in mind, ask now.
Glow Party Formats
Kids’ Glow Circus Party (ages 4 to 11)
Ninety minutes of circus fun in the dark. It follows the same format as our kids’ circus party, with glow kit in place of the usual props: glow juggling balls and clubs, UV scarves and poi, and enough for 30 children to all have a go at once. Everyone gets shown how, everyone gets cheered on, and the party finishes with the GLO show, a glow-in-the-dark finale that has every child sat cross-legged and wide-eyed. Each child goes home with a circus certificate and a story to tell.
Teen Glow Parties (ages 12 to 17)
For the ones who have outgrown party games but still want a proper party. Real tricks with the diabolo, glow limbo, neon face and body dots, and their kind of music on our mini-rig. Too cool for a bouncy castle, too young for a nightclub: this is the party in between.

What We Bring
- UV lighting: a high-powered LED UV cannon plus twin 40-watt UV tubes, enough to turn a normal hall into a glow space, set up and tested before your guests arrive.
- Glow props and kit: glow juggling balls and clubs we build ourselves, plus UV scarves and poi, with enough for up to 30 children.
- Blackout cloth: we bring our own to cover windows, so a daytime party still glows.
- The GLO show: our glow-in-the-dark performance finale, run by performers who actually perform it, not a playlist and a fog machine.
- UV/neon face painting: optional add-on: glow dots, squiggles and designs on every guest, from our face painting team.
- Great music on our own sound system. We bring the mini-rig and a party playlist the kids actually know, so the room has an atmosphere from the first minute. No venue PA needed, and requests are welcome.
All we need is an indoor space of at least 30 square metres with a flat floor and the ability to dim the lights. Village halls, community centres and school halls work perfectly.
How Much Does a UV Glow Party Cost?
A glow party runs for 90 minutes for up to 30 children. Because there is far less kit to bring than a full circus party, it costs less than our standard two-hour party (from £350). Tell us your date and postcode and we’ll give you one straight price, with nothing hidden and nothing added on the day.
Optional extras
| Item | Price |
|---|---|
| UV/neon face painter | £150 |
| Stilt-walking meet-and-greet (in costume, glowing) | £80 |
| Additional tutor (recommended for 30+ guests) | £150 per extra tutor |

Why Book eclipseArts for a Glow Party?
- You’re in safe hands. Thirty-plus years of performing and teaching children, fully insured and DBS-checked. Anyone can rent you a UV light. We bring the party.
- UV and music done properly. The lights, the soundtrack and the games all work together, so the party builds to the GLO show instead of fizzling out after the cake.
- Every child joins in. This isn’t a show they sit through. Even the shy ones end up juggling glowing scarves, usually with the biggest grin in the room.
- You get to enjoy it too. We handle the set-up, the safety checks, the blackout and the clear-up. You take the photos, and they’ll be good ones.

UV Glow Party FAQs
How much does a UV glow party cost?
Less than our standard two-hour circus party, which starts from £350. A glow party is a 90-minute format with less kit to load, so it comes in cheaper. Adding a UV face painter is £150. You get a straight quote up front with nothing added on the day.
What ages does a glow party suit?
From four up to teens, pitched to the group. Four-year-olds get big glow props and simple games; older kids and teenagers get the diabolo, glow limbo and neon face dots. Nobody’s too cool for it by the end. We’ve seen it happen.
How dark does the room need to be?
Dark enough that the UV does the work. We bring blackout cloth for the windows, and most village halls and school halls dim down fine. We test the lights before guests arrive and we’ll tell you honestly at the booking stage if your venue won’t glow properly.
What space and power do you need?
An indoor space of at least 30 square metres with a flat floor, and a couple of standard sockets. No permanent rig, no special wiring, no venue fee from us.
How far ahead should we book?
Weekends go weeks ahead, and glow parties book especially fast around Halloween, February half-term and the winter months when it gets dark early. The sooner you ask, the better your chance of the slot you want.
What should guests wear?
White and neon clothes glow best. Top tip: a white T-shirt washed in an ordinary washing powder such as Persil glows brightest of all, because the brighteners in the powder light up under UV. Dark clothes disappear, which is half the fun.
